John Moleski is originally from Pittsburgh and has vacationed on Hilton Head Island since 1981. He has been a permanent resident since 2011 and currently resides in Sea Pines with his wife and three children. His family enjoys all that the area has to offer including bike riding, swimming and spending time at the beach. They are also involved in their children’s schools and church activities.

John graduated from Penn State University with a civil engineering degree and began his career designing and overseeing the construction of heavy highway projects. He then attended the University of Georgia where he earned his MBA and was recruited as a project manager for a national luxury homebuilder in south Florida. He founded JM Designer Properties in 2004 with the vision to apply his experience, knowledge, and creativity towards the planning, design and construction of custom homes.

John is a licensed residential builder in South Carolina and is the area’s only homebuilder with a civil engineering degree, MBA and over 20 years of residential home building experience. He has won numerous Lighthouse Awards for Best Kitchen, Best Exterior and Best Overall Home as well as been recognized for excellence within our profession and for active participation within our community. He currently serves on the Town of Hilton Head Design Review Board (DRB).
